The seminar at the FU Berlin gives archaeology students practical access to the Institute’s collection. The materials include cylinder seals, seal impressions, and ceramic vessels from various sources. Using selected objects, seminar participants will develop a scientifically sound online presentation of the institute’s history and archaeological working methods. The seminar focuses on producing modern seal impressions to document the images on the seals, making archaeological drawings of ceramic vessels, and creating 3D models of archaeological objects using Structure from Motion (SfM) technology. The Digital Network for Collections is supporting the development of the virtual exhibition.

The exhibition, "Collected. Researched. Preserved." can be accessed here.
