The Digital Network for Collections commissioned a professional photographer to enhance the visibility of two university collections and to support their public relations efforts. The photo sessions captured various objects and spaces, as well as the use of the Cylinder Seals Collection at the Institute of Near Eastern Archaeology and the Biology Education Media Collection (Mediensammlung der Biologiedidaktik). Both collections are housed at the FU Berlin.
The photography was carried out in close coordination with the respective collection managers and the university’s collection coordinator, who together selected the subjects and motifs. Below is a curated selection of photographs that will be made available for future use in the collections.
