The Theater History Collections at the FU Berlin planned to use the Omeka S database system to document their holdings. As a pilot initiative, they digitized part of the collection, specifically the estate of the Brandt family, who were stage designers. This work was carried out as part of a third-party-funded project. The Digital Network for Collections advised on setting up the database system and developing and implementing a scientifically robust data model.
Project Outcomes
- An object database for the Brandt family estate
- Planning guidelines for the digitization of the entire collection
