For the Berlin-Brandenburg State Office for Everyday Culture (BBLA), the Digital Network for Collections has made its finding aid available online. The finding aid was originally created by the State Office as a comprehensive, hierarchically structured Word file. In cooperation with Jonas Tinius, who has led the BBLA since 2025, the finding aid has been converted into a public, clickable, and searchable format. Since then, users have been able to search both the organizational structure of the holdings and detailed information on individual archival records and collections.
The Berlin-Brandenburg Office for Everyday Culture is both a university research center and an archive at the Institute for European Ethnology at the HU Berlin. Its collections span the early 20th century to the present day—including holdings from the Academy of Sciences of the GDR, the Archive for Alternative Culture, the Hahne-Niehoff Estate, the European HIV/AIDS Archive (EHEAA), and the Archive of Flight.
