The Archive of Twentieth-Century Hospital Construction is a special-topic archive. It has its origins in an initiative of the Department of Architecture for Health at the TU Berlin. Since the department’s disestablishment, the archive has been orphaned for over 10 years. Various options are currently being explored for the further use of the archive.
In addition to a general overview of the archive’s various holdings, an inventory has been made of some parts, and a large selection of plans and images have been digitized. The Digital Network for Collections supported the TU Berlin’s collections coordinator Kerstin Wagner in backing up the data stored on computers that are no longer fully functional and making it available for research purposes.
